Evergreen Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Roshnaye as Partner in the firm’s Audit department and Rebecca Christiansen as a Partner in the firm’s Tax department, effective January 1, 2026.
Melissa has been with Evergreen since day one, working as a Principal with Managing Partner, Stacey Bergman, to build the foundations of a firm that could provide top-tier services to nonprofit organizations. She has over 20 years of accounting and audit experience in addition to two years spent in international development. After graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting, Melissa joined the Peace Corps where she was exposed to one of the world’s biggest NGOs. Through her work overseas she gained a greater perspective of people, cultures, and how to use her expertise to serve, grow, and empower nonprofit organizations from a business standpoint. From advocacy groups to artists to nonprofits focused on education, Melissa cares about each client’s mission and uses her many talents to support them which makes her an excellent choice to lead the firm’s Audit department. Melissa is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA).
Rebecca joined Evergreen a few months after launch, in May of 2021 as the Chief Operating Officer. Rebecca has over 20 years of tax compliance, accounting and operations experience. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and a Minor in Accounting, Rebecca began her career in the tax department at a top 100 CPA firm. After several years of tax compliance and financial statement auditing, she completed her Masters degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. She then transitioned to an administrative role, expanding her skills to include professional speaking, operations, project management, financial forecasting, information technology and cybersecurity. At EA, she leads the firm’s compliance practice, assisting clients with information reporting compliance, formation and dissolution. Rebecca is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of the AICPA.
